What Causes Severe Pain In Left Knee Causing Difficulty To Stretch?
Two days ago, I felt an excruciating pain on my left knee when I stand from squatting to pick up something. I cant straighten my leg and My friend tried to manipulate but it didnt helpso she stopped so not to worsen the damage. I was rushed to the hospital. Any rotation or slight movement on my leg, I was crying like a baby. Xray was done and my knee was normal. I know if there s a ligamentous or meniscal tear it can t be seen in the xray. The doctor told me that im under observation for 8 hours. I tried to straighten my leg with the help of a nurse, after a few minutes, there was a click sound and totally pain-free. I can move, lift my leg and I can even walk to the toilet.
MRI is the best for this to rule out soft tissue injury or sometimes knee lock happens. Orthopedics opinion can be taken. Calcium serum levels can be done, physical therapy can also be checked. Contact the 'Art of Living' teachers, they also have few natural methods to prevent any incidence in the future.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
