Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain In Leg Along With Dizzy Spells And Nausea?
I fell Sunday afternoon and my right leg/ankle bent backwards under me.My other leg went flying in the air and I landed on my butt with my leg still under me. Well it s been insanely swollen. Swelling is almost completely gone now (been talking 800mg ibprofen). I can use the foot for balance with my crutches but cannot bear any weight at all on it. When I move my leg it feels like something is sliding from side to side in the side of my calf. I did not bother going to the doc because I figured it was just a sprain. Now I am getting sudden weak spells, dizzy and nauseated. Should I get it checked out?
Need X-ray and MRI after local physician examination, is there is any head injury while falling? Raise leg, brace may be needed, ice apply these are things in sprain to be done, analgesics (local spray may be used) and If severe pain local anesthetic spray is also available, check BP, ECG, HB etc., for dizziness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
