What Causes Severe Pain In Legs Spreading To Toes With Numbness In Arms?

i had a L5/S1 disc operation in aug.2009 and have had problems since then and come to find out i have a t7-8,and a t11-12 herniations also (which i might of had since the surgery but were not noticed?)Ive have had some serious issues with mostly my left hip and lately feels like i'm getting punched in the back or lung pressure.I have gone through the works with hip doctors and was recently told by them it is deff. my t-12 effecting my hip. Sitting is hard for periods more than 5 minutes even with my legs straight out (numbness).. aches when standing after. and when i lay down at night i get lots of numbness in my arms(I sleep on my belly)and if i lay on my rightside to watch tv after a few minutes it seems to shoot pain into the ball by my toes and knees. But from my understanding my doctor did not want to do surgery?Do i have to live with this forever
