What Causes Severe Pain In Legs?

i have had a rod and screws placed in my left femer alomost two years ago, for the past two months now i have been suffering great pain and my leg has give out on my twice since standing up. why now would this be happening and what should i do. i am male 6.7 and 280lbs.
