What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Abdomen With History Of Having Hysterectomy?

I am 43 years old had a complete hysterectomy (except for cervix) less than a year ago. Now I am having severe pain in my lower abdomen. I also had my gall bladder removed a couple years ago. I had fibroids on my uterus and ovaries. I had serious bad endometrosis. I don t know what s causing the pain since I have no female parts. I am very concerned about another uterine fibroid. I have not been on any hormone replacements due to the fact my endometrosis was so bad.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the pain may still be related to endometriosis in abdomen. Also, you should do a pap smear to check it since your column uteri is still there.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
