What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Back And Abdomen?

I have a friend who is having horrible pain her lower back and stomach. she had a procedure done two years ago and was told she would more than likely not have a period but all the other systems. every month she get such bad pains like she is giving child birth. the doctor today numb her and cut a cyst on her uterus and drained. she is having horrible pains, what can she do tonight to relieve the pain some. she has a rice sock that she warms up and puts on her back but is there anything else she can do YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Now, once the cyst is removed that pain will decrease. An ultrasound or MRI after operation can tell if it’s all cleared or any nerve is pinched due to other reasons. If pain is that severe, an anesthetic can help or opioids drugs by prescription only can be given. A few breathing exercises can help too.
