What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Back And Elevated WBC Levels In Blood?

I thought I had a uti and the pain spread to my left lower back.. Went to dr and was given antibiotics. It went away. After ha ing blood drawn the result was not a uti and an excess of white blood cells. Now, the pain is back on both sides of lower back. Dr wants me to go to oncologist

This may be sign of pyelinephritis and you should do kidneys ultrasound and urine analysis to rule this out. high wbc is sign of any inflammation in our body but pain in this area is suggestive of urinary tract issues.
