What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Back And Legs After Bending?

Please type your query here...I went to lay my daughter down in her crib, when I tried to stand back up I had an excrutiating pain in my lower back, I could barely walk. I got to the couch and sat down, my leg muscles are hurting and legs are tingly..I think it may be sciatic nerve and wondering is there anything I can do other than go to drs or hospital?
