What Causes Severe Pain In Neck After A Hip Replacement?

concerned about a resident of mine. just had hip replacement surgury. since friday complaining about severe pain in back of neck, vertebrae area. holding his head in pain. now it is swollen with a lot of fluid. still in severe pain. nursing home says it is a cyst. i am very concerned.
