What Causes Severe Pain In Neck And Shoulder?

Dear Doctor,
Actually i am 46 yrs old, past 6 months i am facing the problem of (continuously) severe neck pain some times i feel the pain in my left hand side shoulder also. by using of the tablet CIPZOX it get reduced .
Kindly suggest right solution

hi,
your symptoms suggest cervical spondylitis. you need to get a neck x ray to confirm it. shoulder pain indicated nerve impingement and requires treatment. avoid pillows and try neck strengthening exercises. a cervical soft collar will benifit you. donot use pain killers as they only offer symptomatic relief and is not the solution. if problem persistes, consult an orthopedician.
