Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good Morning.I seem to have hurt my right foot.It is a strange one though. It doesn t hurt all the time or though I am mindful of it.I can walk but not weight bear on it. For example when I put all my weight on one foot to towel dry myself after bathing it is severely painful or if I turn a certain way whilst load bearing. The pain is pretty bad and makes me catch my breath.
Pain over right foot could be of variety of causes like cellulitis or deep vein thrombosis or Some kidney diseases or peripheral vascular disease or varicose veins but doctor can not comment regarding any particular diagnosis without complete history taking and thoroughly clinical examination.
I think you should consult nearby doctor preferably general surgeon for further evaluation.
You may need some diagnostic tests such as - complete hemogram, kidney function tests, blood electrolyte levels, ECG and stress Echo, venous Doppler of the legs and urine tests to help us identify the cause.
Meanwhile, you can take analgesics to reduce pain but available over the counter.
Keep your limb above the grounds and avoid any weight bearing or physical exertion and drink plenty of water through out the day.
Thanks and regards,
Dr.sandipkabra
