What Causes Severe Pain In Right Hip Joint After Two Laminectomies?
After 2 laminectomies, L3,L4,L5 most leg pain is gone. The remaining pain is concentrated on the back side of my right hip joint. The pain feels muscular. Intense when I sneeze, lift something heavy, or have a bowel movement. I have had sciatica before and feels quite similar.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Lacminectomy or decompression surgery may help you relieve your symptoms. However, after this procedure, your doctor may recommend physical therapy to improve your strength and flexibility. The pain you feel at your hip may be linked or not to laminectomies.Other possible causes may include: hip osteoarthritis or muscle strain/stress.I will advise the following: -Limit activities that involve lifting, bending and stooping -Take a pain drug like aceclofenac -A myorelaxant like miorel -See a Physiotherapist for massage If problem persist, you see your surgeon for evaluation. Hope this will help Best regards
