What Causes Severe Pain In The Abdomen And Back?

My son is 12 years old. We visited his doctor today because he has been having stomach pains since Tuesday. They ruled out a bad appendix and ruled out strep throat. They said it is most likely a virus.... He is having bad pains right now with added back pain..... should I take him to the ER?

Hello,

Did you get an ultrasound abdomen done? If it is normal, then you do not have to go Emergency room (ER) so urgently.

You can try taking antibiotics which might have been prescribed the previous doctor. Usually, pains can be present but if it is very severe that time takes him to ER.
