What Causes Severe Pain In The Abdomen And Nausea?

Starting about 2 months ago I have had severe stomach and abdominal pain that may last for 2-3 hours sometimes longer, flank pain, and nausea. I have highly elevated keytones and specific gravity levels in urine. I m not sure what is going on, but it is horrible trying to get through each episode.

Hi,

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a kidney disorder. For this reason, I would recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound and kidney function tests, coupled with other blood lab tests (fasting glucose, complete blood count, PCR, amylase and lipase plasma levels, liver function tests). You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
