What Causes Severe Pain In The Abdomen During Pregnancy?
Hi I m 22wk pregnant and for the past 3 days have been having severe abdominal pain. I ve tried hot baths, raising my legs and general sitting which does not relieve any pain. It is constant. What should I do? My previous pregnancy I had pre-eclampsia and was 8 weeks premature. Growth stopped at 28week gestational. Could this be similar? If not what cod it be and what do I do?
Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist. You can take some progesterone supplements like injection proluton depot 250 mg weekly. Take strict bed rest. You can do growth scan at 3 to 4 weeks intervals to see the growth of baby. Get your blood pressure checked at regular intervals. Also get a scan done to see the cervical length. You can also take some tocolytics like isoxsuprine to prevent premature labour. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
