What Causes Severe Pain In The Abdomen While On Bystolic?

Hi, I am having a problem trying to find a medication that has few side effects, I has svt and an ablation in 2012 it helped but I still occasonaly get the flipping of my heat . I since the abalation have started Blood pressure issues. . I have been taking Bystolic and it is killing my stomach, causes pain all day long 24/7 The dr. gave me a RX for Losartan, and one for Carvedilol ( which when looking at the side effects seem to be very much maybe even more than I have now. So I am looking for something to help keep those heart flipping ( skipping ) feelings that occur once in a while) from happening.????

Hello,

Bystolic is having nebivolol. It is a beta blocker which is highly cardio selective. So abdominal pain buys Bystolic is very less likely. Better to get done ultrasound abdomen to find out the cause of abdominal pain.

Regarding flipping sensations in heart, better to get done Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of ECG). This will tell you exactly about arrhythmia. Bystolic also helps in arrhythmia. You can increase the dose of Bystolic, if Holter report is positive for arrhythmia after consulting your cardiologist. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
