Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having a lot of pain in both ankles for quite some time. I was an avid bodybuilder in the mid 80s & early 90s. I did do steroids back then when competing and stopped in the early 90s. I have since got back on a little testosterone to keep my test level up because I still train very intense and am trying to maintain some size and keep my training intense. The pain still has not subsided and feels like its getting worse at times. Any advice would greatly appreciated. Thx Tony
Hi pain in ankles could be due to various factors--common are--calcaneal spur (extra bone formation in ankle), swelling/inflammation in achilles tendons (that attach calf muscles to ankles). Please get the ankles x-rayed to find the cause--regards
