What Causes Severe Pain In The Anus While Suffering From Anal Cancer?
I have just been diagnosed with anal cancer but I have excruciating pain of which I ve had for some 5-6 wks at my anal aperture . As I was originally diagnosed with an anal fissure . But I have been told I shouldnt be dealing with such pain from the SSC . Could there be another reason for the pain - I can feel the growth now protruding just out of my anal passage. Could I also have an anal fissure or fistula with the cancer ? No relief of pain without 24 hr medication .

Cancer finds way between tissues to grow and this additional growth leads to pain. It may or may not develop a fistula.
