Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just got home from having a total right hip replacement 2 days ago, I have severe stabbing pains in the right buttocks nonstop along with severe groin pain and lower leg pain I cannot believe the severity of the pain as I have had many other surgeries in the past I am only 55 and I am a female if that at all matters. I also cannot walk at all on my own for sure. I need the walker no matter what. Please answer me as of what should I do Sincerely, Karen DeAndrea
As you are operated just two days back, better see your treating surgeon to identify whether pain is post surgery or some other cause. Generally patient gets pain post surgery upto 7 days, medicines are given to control pain and dose it tapered as pain reduces. You may need walker for few days until you completely recover post surgery.
