What Causes Severe Pain In The Chest On The Right Side?

I get intermittent chest pain in my right upper chest. It radiates down my right arm, sometimes up my right neck and through to my right upper back. when it occurs the pain is achy and sometimes stabby. It varries. I have had two times in the recent month where the pain has physically stopped me from doing what I was doing at the time. Should I see a cardiologist?

Hello,

* As per the intensity of pain, there must be underlying costochondritis or else with referred pain over innervating dermatomes of the body.
* Though I do not suspect any cardiac issue, you are requested to consult an expert physician for the diagnosis and further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
