Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been suffering with acute chest pain for the last 48 hours. Just had important heart tests done and CPK was 141. I am a 60 year old lady. Had been with cold virus for the last 2 months. Today visited my cardiologist and both ECG and ECHO showed no problem. Chest pain so bad, unbearable. Went midnight for tests and results are: SGOT 26 CPK 141 CPK-MB 12 HSTroponin-I 1,1 I m worried as the pain is still there, took several extra panadol, 1 buscopan, but still feel the chest pain. Dr. suggested muscular pain, nothing wrong with heart. Should I worry for CPK level? Many THANKS

What Causes Severe Pain In The Chest?
Hello, Most probably it is due to musculoskeletal causes like costochondritis. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
