What Causes Severe Pain In The Ear And Beneath The Tongue After Treating Sinusitis?

hi Dr,My Name is is Harish and i had chornic sinusitis 2 months ago. Due to excess mucus production and post nasal drip i also had throat infections and tonsillitis. My sinus infection is reduced but developed severe ear pain and peirceing paid beneath my tongue.. Is this might me Salivary gland infections ?Kindly advice..!

Hi Harish,

Any infection in the tongue or oral cavity,will cause pain in the ear,even if the ears are normal. we call this as referred pain. A swelling beneath a tongue may be salivary gland infection also. It needs to be palapated and confirmed
