What Causes Severe Pain In The Feet While Suffering From Osteoarthritis?

OKay, I broke my femur in this past janurary. I am still healing from that. I have HX osteoarthritis/fibromyalgia/hypothroidism. The past few days I have had severe pain in my foot/- feels like bone as no fat pad there, and a new muscle ache in the same leg- opposite my FX leg. I saw a rhumatologist a month ago when my foot pain increased and she just said it was osteoarthiritis. I see my surgeon to get a return to work okay on Tuesday- honestly I am not sure if I can go go back or not. So ? Where do I start to get on top of this??

* This seems more likely to be from bony calcaneal spur
* I strongly recommend to get a digital x-ray of the affected foot and get
