Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What is the correlation between elevated Sedimetation Rate 94mm/h, C-Reactive Protein 4.5mg/dl, and ASO titer 207[IU]/ml? 69yo male. Moderate/severe pain in right forearm/wrist with movement or at rest. Difficulty doing everyday function. Hx-diabetes.
A high ESR usually can be related to polymyalgia rheumatica. I also suggest doing a rheumatoid factor level for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest taking painkillers such as Ibuprofen three times a day to relieve the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
