What Causes Severe Pain In The Groin Area After A Pelvic Fracture?

I recently fell on a waxed floor which resulted in radius fracture with bilateral sacrum fractures. I am now having severe pain in my left groin with a swollen lump. This pain is also in my left hip and inner thigh. I am unable to sleep on either side due to the pain or bear weight. X-rays have been negative for hip fracture. I do have severe varicose veins in this leg. I was diagnosed with pelvic ring fracture. Can this be causing all this pain?

Hi,

It can easily be causing the pain. I suggest you have a CAT scan of your pelvic area to reassess your fracture and blood vessels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
