Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may be suffering from thrombophlebitis of the hand I think.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. If swelling with pain is there means you may use thrombophobe gel local application.

If pain associated fever may need the antibiotic course. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
