What Causes Severe Pain In The Hip Joint?

My skin on my right hip is very painful. There is no irritation, no bite mark, no redness, looks totally normal but feels like someone took a hot iron to it. It has been this way for a little over a week. Now my hip joint is starting to ache! What in the world is going on. I am very healthy and take no medications. Help! Carla

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sounds to be a hypersensitive issue with possible nerve impingement or other issues which has to be evaluated with thorough physical examination with an expert ortho surgeon.

Primary relief with heating pad application, analgesic tablets and local analgesic spray.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
