What Causes Severe Pain In The Hips While On Plavix?

I have been taking 75 mg of Plavix for about 5 weeks and have been having leg hip pain and weakness only on the right side and have to use a cane at times to walk as the muscles are in spasms and knot up and my knee grabs me and I feel as if I am going to fall. Is this the cause of plavix as I have been taking .81 aspirin for years and never experienced this. Thanks.

Hi,

The weakness that you are feeling can be a side effect of Plavix, but you need to report this to your treating doctor as the weakness is developing on your right side. You may need a repeat CT to evaluate your condition & so that medications can be given to you accordingly. Visit ER, without delay so that the condition does not complicate to Hemiparesis (complete paralysis of one side of the body) and you get treated in time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
