What Causes Severe Pain In The Joints After Taking Prednisone?
8 days ago i broke out with hives. I want to dr. who prescribed 10 mg of prednesone. Hives went away but my joints now ache severely and i am unable to move without assistance. Husband took me to ER 2 nights ago and they took blood and did CT. nothing on CT but checking blood for lymes. they prescribed 40mg of prednesone and said to check with primary care dr. Still feeling same aches and unable to move around. It is now affecting my speech since my jaws even hurt.

Prednisolone usually reduces the pain and hives unless you developed an allergic reaction to the drug.
Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. It may be aggravated by gout or infection or connective tissue disorders or anaemia.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done blood urea, serum creatinine, serum electrolytes and uric acid.
Use tablet tramadol with paracetamol twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
