What Causes Severe Pain In The Left Hand Along With Stomach Ache?

My friend is a 66 year old female. After eating an excessively large meal today she complained of pain in her left hand. 30 minutes later she was complaining of stomach pain, nausea, and extreme discomfort. She then began vomiting and lost control of her bowels. Her face was flush and she was perspiring. She said she was not in any pain but she was moaning and in distress. She refused to go to the ER stating that she has had this several times before and they always say her heart is fine. She has had her gall bladder removed and has has fatty liver in the past. She is very overweight. I still worry this could be heart related. She is resting at home and says that she feels better but is still nauseated and feeling week. She insists that she feels no pain other than her stomach discomfort. Her blood pressure is 140/70 and her pulse is around 100 at rest.I know you will strongly recommend that she go to the ER. Is there any other illness that would explain these recurring episodes other than the heart?
