General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pain on the left side of the hand is commonly due to nerve compression in the spine or pinched nerve. Since you are experiencing pain getting widespread in the left side, it can be Fibromyalgia (cause can be genetic, infections or nerve damage), if the pain is in the left chest radiating towards the left arm (hand), it is an indication of some developing heart disease.

Get physically examined, get evaluated. You should get Imaging tests, Lipid profile, CBC, Nerve conduction tests, Urinalysis done. For pain you can take Ibuprofen, take vitamin B supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
