What Causes Severe Pain In The Leg?

hi, I have had this pain in my leg now for over a week. It started as a pain in my back, went to a chiro, r-rays, been taken prednisone 60 mg. to start then to decrease, I still have the pain, it really hurts to walk, stand and sit, the only position is to lay some what. Any ideas? Thanks
