What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I am 72 years old. I have intense pain on both sides in the ovaries region. I thought it might be diverticulitus, but the pain is on both sides. I took milk of magnesia last night at midnight and had a bowel movement this am. That relieved some of the pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this pain may be related to possible urinary track infection or possible to constipation. You may need to do a urine analysis to check for infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
