What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

Hi, My name is Dawn and I started taking Probiotics 6 days ago and started having really bad cramping pain in my lower intestine when I to go to the bathroom. It seems about the same each time and I go more often. I do have a problem going often and tried fiber and some diet changes. I also have Diverticulosis. It is REALLY a pain. I was not sure if the Probiotics can be too strong?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

The symptoms you are experiencing is likely due to presence of Gastrointestinal infection. Diverticulitis is an important possibility, especially with your history of diverticulosis. CT scan of abdomen can confirm the diagnosis and treatment is with antibiotics (ciprofloxacin+metronidazole)

Hope this answers your questions
