What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Buttock And Thighs?

I have a 90% blockage in my right leg and will have surgery soon of what is called a crossover . About a week and a half ago I started having pain in my lower buttock and upper thigh, sometimes severe pain especially when I would bend over or do anything that would cause me to jerk my leg in any way. Does the pain I am feeling in this area have anything to do with the blockage? It scares me that I could have a worse problem.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
hello sir
thanks for query
As you have 90% blockage of right leg I guess it's in thigh or knee level
however pain in buttocks are suggestive of blockage above
mainly in major vessels of lower limb illiac artery or main artery aorta bifurcation
As you give classical history of pain on bending forward which is very common feature of blockage
Please consult your vascular surgeon for examination and scheduling proper investigation like Doppler to asses level of blockage
hope I was helpful
