What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Left Pelvic Area?

I have been experiencing pain in my lower left pelvic area for several weeks. I had a partial hysterectomy several years ago. They left one ovarie on my left side. At that time I was age 40, I am now 56 years. Should I be concern or is this menopause?

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
Your left ovaries should be checked since some disorder may be present if there is persistent pain. You should do pelvic ultrasound and check tumor markers so see gynecologist for start and then further treatment may be planned.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
