What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Rib Cage?
I was in ER yesterday for severe pain in lower rib cage, right side and same area of the back. It hurts to turn to my left or straighten up from sitting position. Nothing showed up in blood work, or CT scan in the abdominal area. Sent home with a script for Tramadhol.(sp) Pain continues, does not hurt to take a breath but discomfort in exhaling(all on right side).

It may be due to muscle spasm or muscle pull which initially goes unnoticed. Simple analgesics will help. Nothing to worry.
