What Causes Severe Pain In The Neck And Shoulder Post Alcohol Consumption?

I have alcohol induced shoulder pain. I drink a few sips, regardless of type, and within minutes I get intense pain 9/10 to the crease of my neck and right shoulder. Goes away in 15-25 minutes. I also have a 3cm firm, painless, fairly immobile lymph node on the right side of my neck right at my carotid. How worried should I be about lymphoma? My primary doctors have never heard of the alcohol induced pain as a symptom and are pretty skeptic. I just had surgery to biopsy the node but the pathology report showed the surgeon actually took out a salivary gland. What should I be doing next??

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to alcohol.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
