Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 52 year old fairly healthy male. I have always been active with my work as a cabinetmaker and my out of work activity of mountain biking, I recently had a shoulder surgery due to a crash on my bike. I was in a sling for 6 weeks and am now active in physical therapy. My shoulder was on my left arm but last Friday when I woke up I had some severe pain in my right elbow. It was sore and tender. The pain was mostly just above the elbow. By the end of that day, the pain had gone away and back to normal. This morning I woke up and had the same thing on the left elbow. This time the pain was not as severe but it also did not go away. It still feels the same way it did when I woke up. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello,
It seems your right arm is more exerted due to surgery on opposite side. Try to give rest to the painful elbow. Physiotherapy on the counter pain medicine like Ibuprofen would help. In case of no injury increase of symptoms consult your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
