What Causes Severe Pain In The Right Knee?

I have osteoarthritis in my hips and have doctored with chiropractors for 40 years. I just recently started having terrible pain in my right knee. A orthopedic surgeon x-rayed it and found that I have a very slight case of arthritis in the knee and there is good space between the bones. A little age-related wear and tear. The pain is so bad that I can hardly walk. I m suspecting that the problem is coming from my hip. What type of exercises can I do to overcome this problem. I don t believe in drugs or shots but will continue with my chiropractor appts and will exercise.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to arthritis. You should do a complete blood count and a rheumatoid factor level to confirm the diagnosis.

Some advice that I can give to you is:

-use anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen three times a day.
-use cool compresses local relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
