General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Carpel tunnel is also associated with numbness or tingling or other altered sensation in the hand.

You may need to be assessed to determine if there is any arthritis in the joint if there was no history of trauma.

Rest of the limb is important so activities may need to be restricted if possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
