What Causes Severe Pain In The Shoulder?

I have very limited movement in my shoulder I am 54 years old and male...when I reach behind to like put on a belt it is like a stabbing sharp pain where I can become momentarily incapacitated by the pain as well when I sleep I can not sleep on my side as it is very uncomfortable

Hi,

I think this may be bursitis of shoulder.

You can do an X-ray to identify the cause. You can take any anti inflammatory drugs such Advil or Acetaminophen.

Put ice compresses on it and take rest.
