What Causes Severe Pain In The Shoulders?

I am having severe pain in both shoulders. If I move wrong it feels like someone stabbed me and takes my breath away. I have trouble getting my shirt on and off also. What could cause this and what can I do without going to see my doctor. I will see him if need be. Just looking for a quick fix.

You can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain relief.
