What Causes Severe Pain In The Upper Abdomen?

I am having for the past week intense stomach pain, i would say upper abdomen, i seen my doctor last Friday, he ordered blood work, which came back normal, an ultra sound and a hida scan, which is set for thursday. My problem is anything I seem to eat is causing the same reaction, 2 to 4 hours later , pain. I am taking prilsec, 3 days now, maybe I am not patient enough, but what is there that may help this symtoms

You take a tab of Meftal plus 1 BD x 3 days
-! Caps of Pantocid DSR 1 OD x & days,
- Stop Smoking & Alcohol
-Stop red chillies & High condiments in your diet
You will be fine.
Don't ask me what causes,it is a long lecture.Your aim is to recover, OK.
