What Causes Severe Pain In The Upper Left Shoulder?

I have a sever pain in my upper left shoulder. It is sharp pain when I attempt to sit up or move. I was injured here more than a year ago after a very bad massage. However, on Friday, I had a Bemer which is a machine that allegedly increases blood flow to an area and ever since the area has been tender and rendering me nearly unable to get up without pain.

Pain in the upper left shoulder can be due to muscular pain or disorder in the joint. I suggest you consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.
