What Causes Severe Pain In The Upper Sternum Bone?

Please type your query here...i have sharp pain in my upper sternum bone that is very intense and sensitive to touch it comes and goes sometimes i have high blood pressure that is controled very well i take lotrol5/10 and toprol xl 25 mg i had a total cardic exam which i had to stay in hospital ekg echo and a catherization which showed my arteries outstanding but i still get these sharp pains in my upper sternum bone which seem to be chronic could they have missed something or do i just have to live with it or is there some oter type of treatment that might give me relieve i am a 55yr old male that is 5 foot 11 and weighs 205 and is otherwise in good shape note i have two bad discs in my neck c6 and c7 that i had a mri on that confirmed this 4 yrs ago
