General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The severe pain in throat when withdrawal of hormone therapy indicates secondary changes from the hormone imbalance most likely. These are not indicative of thyroid cancer at all, which has various features such as:
- Weight loss
- Poor appetite
- Hoarseness of voice
- Others

However, if you can provide me with the all relevant investigations you have available with you, it would be best informative session during follow up to discuss relevantly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
