What Causes Severe Pain In Windpipe While Breathing?

Severe pain in windpipe while breathing. Started with sore throat this morning. Now can t sleep every time I lay down it gets 10 times worse. Pain is better when arms are above head. Only other time I have had this had severe systemic infection. This time I only have the severe pain. Help!

Hello,

Most likely you have developed pharyngitis for which you need to take an antibiotic with betadine gargles twice a day and avoid and chilled food items.
