What Causes Severe Pain Under The Kneecap Upon Bending Down?
Hello, I bent over to pick up a throw pillow and experienced a strong shooting pain starting under my kneecap, up my leg and around my hip to my lower back. I have been elevating the knee and taking 2 Motrin every 2 hours but that s not helping enough to sleep. Should I also be using heat or an ice pack? Thx

It could be a ligament sprain.
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.
