What Causes Severe Painful Cramps In Stomach With History Of Having Pancreatitis?

Yes I was diagnosed , last year, for severe dehydration and chronic renal failure, I also had pancreatitis. I was treated with antibiotics and many bags of fluid from an IV. I was in the hospital for a week. I am know that I m feeling the same conditions. When I mentioned it to my doctor that I m having the same symptoms as before, but my numbers for my kidney is worse and I am very dehydrated, even though I drink about 6 bottles, of the large cups from the hospital.Do you have any ideas of what can be wrong? OH, I forgot to mention...I have been extreme stomach cramps, they are very, very painful.I hope you shed some kind of light on what is happening to me?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There can be various reasons for extreme stomach pain with altered renal function tests as:
- Acute gastritis
- Exacerbation of ulcer disorder (gastric or duodenal)
- Acute on chronic pancreatitis (pain typically transfers to back from upper midline)
- Secondary effects of uremia (from advanced renal failure)
- Metabolic problems as acid base imbalance or altered electrolytes

Kindly provide all details available with your doctor:
- Lab data
- Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis
- CT scan plates

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
